We are delighted to report that almost all the kittens we fostered last year have now been adopted. From Jan 1st 2024 until March 30th 2025 we have had over 130 cats adopted and several more adoptions are nearing completion. Most of these were kittens but we also rehomed 36 adults, including eight as barn cats. The kittens went to new homes in most parts of France, from Brittany to Ariege and from Geneva to the Landes with a couple adopted in Paris. Two kittens went to Glasgow, another to Southampton and one to Jersey.

We have gained several great new fosterers this year and most of our regulars are still with us which is just as well as over the past few months we have had an influx of adult cats, several of them older, from owners who had died or gone into care. They are of course harder to place but a couple were old enough to be eligible for the support of our Lifetime Foster scheme, which helped them find families.

Just as we were settling back for a period of calm with most of our adult cats placed we had alerts for two young mums-to-be needing somewhere to deliver and raise their kittens. They were taken into foster homes and proved to be friendly and affectionate house cats, each only around eight or nine months old and presumably thrown out for getting pregnant.  Both have now given birth to strong and healthy kittens:  Wilma has four and Victoria has six! Once their kittens are weaned the mums will be sterilised and go to new homes.  We know that these ten kittens are just the first of the many which will arrive during the summer, but our team of fosterers are ready and waiting to do their best for them all.
