BAMBOU NEEDS LOTS OF TLC AND A HOME FOR LIFE. ADOPTED

This handsome part-Siamese cat has had a difficult life for the last part of his ten years.  We think he originally had a home before falling on hard times, ending up as one of a handful of street cats being fed by a kind gentleman in 65 Plaisance du Gers. When the old gentleman died Les Amis arranged for Bambou to be sterilised and chipped but as there was no foster home available a neighbour continued to feed him. The weather and lack of shelter took its toll on Bambou and he went down with a bad dose of corzya and has beens treated by a vet.  For the past couple of weeks he has been in a large cage in this kind neighbour’s house so she can give him his medicine; he is now much better and will soon no longer be contagious and can start his vaccinations.

But Bambou is not a happy cat; he hates being confined in such a small space and is becoming depressed.  Initially happy and relaxed with his carer and pleased to be out of the cold, he is now miserable and withdrawn.  The only option we have at the moment is to return him to the street where his health will certainly suffer once again.

So what we are now looking for Bambou is a lifetime foster home.  He will visit the vet in the next few days to make sure he is no longer contagious and to have his first vaccination.  He then needs to join a kind family where a warm bed, a good diet and plenty of TLC will help keep him healthy and happy. Should he need further vet treatment then all bills will be covered under the Les Amis Lifetime Foster programme. He is a gentle cat, understandably a little shy of strangers, but has never shown any aggression to other cats. He has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Bambou is a very attractive cat with beautiful markings and would make a great companion.  Once settled in he would need access to a garden or outside space.  He is now in the Gers but we can help him travel to a new home elsewhere in France.  If you would like to make sure that Bambou’s future is a lot happier, safer and more comfortable than his past then please contact us.
