Please meet GARFIELD – still a wee scrap of around 7 weeks old who has been in foster since he was even tinier.

It is only now that the character of this little chap will start to emerge but rest assured he’s had a bit of a life so far.   Perhaps he’s always going to be lucky – we hope so.  He started his life alongside his feral Mum (and perhaps some siblings) living rough in a village.  For reasons unbeknownst to us he was found alone and very small by the ex-mayor of that particular village  who was willing to try and find him a home.  Second stroke of luck one of our fosterers lived in that village but she was full – no room at the inn even for a tiny as he would need isolation which she could not offer.  Third stroke of luck – she is friends with another of our fosterers who did have room for him and so he came under our wing.  As a lover of that eponymous cartoon strip, his foster Mum immediately gave him the name, GARFIELD.

Since then until now – he has thrived – fed well, slept well, and gradually become increasingly aware of his world.  As his foster Mum says :

I’ve been waiting for his wee personality to start to emerge but I know one thing – he’s a very very responsive boy to his name and very loving and alert.  He’s sooooo sweet n cuddly, just wants to be with you

GARFIELD is fostered near Tarbes in Department 65 (Hautes Pyrénées).
