Na Na was one of seven young cats we took into our care as part of a mission organised by the department’s vet service to remove more than 40 cats from an 8th floor apartment where they were living with their owners. Surprisingly, although a bit thin, the cats were healthy and quite sociable though rather timid.  Na Na and the others have since been chipped, sterilised, fully vaccinated, worm and flea treated and have tested negative for FV/FeLV. They are now much more confident and looking for the chance of a happy life with a family of their own.

Na Na has had perhaps the most difficult transition to a more normal existence; he is currently in a cattery and not being used to being handled or stroked he simply avoided contact whenever he could.  He has a birth date on his i-cad registration of 01-01-23 like all the cats in the group but we think he could well be a year or two older making him two or three.  He is of course used to living with other cats and is at the moment in a shared pen with two other cats; we feel he will benefit from a quiet home with people who will let him adapt to the household at his own pace.  He will definitely need access to outside space.

Na Na is currently in 64 Betracq (Pyrénées Atlantique) but we can help him travel elsewhere in France. If you are wondering why Na Na is so called, it’s because his carers were convinced he was a she – hence Nana!  A quick rethink when vet inspection revealed he was male amended this to Na Na.  If you could give Na Na the chance of a good life even if it takes him a while to figure out that is what is on offer, then please contact us.
