OLIVER – WHO FOUND A BEST FRIEND MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE – ADOPTED
Oliver arrived in foster in traumatic circumstances when he was chased by hunting dogs and rescued in the nick of time. Why he was on his own at just a few weeks old we will never know but he was certainly frightened, disoriented and hungry when he came into our care.
Although he was soon physically in good shape Oliver was still nervous and lacking in confidence – he was very timid with strangers and in new situations. But once he was placed together with another male kitten, Sidi, all that changed! They have become great friends, playmates and companions and Oliver is altogether much more relaxed. Although he still takes his time to adjust to new people and places, if Sidi is happy then Oliver is not far behind. He is now a very cuddly, trusting and affectionate kitten with people he knows.
We are trying very hard to find Oliver a home with Sidi as we are sure the transition to new surroundings will be much easier for both kittens, but particularly Oliver, if they make the move as a pair. At the moment the adoption contribution for the second kitten is waived when two are adopted together so it’s two for the price of one! Because of Oliver’s traumatic early experience we feel it would be better if he goes to a home without dogs.
Oliver is a sweet kitten – lively and playful and very loving. He is around four and a half months old, chipped and fully vaccinated and his flea and worm treatments are up to date. He is currently in foster in 82 St Antonin Noble Val but we can help him – hopefully with his best friend Sidi – to travel to join the right family elsewhere in France. If you think your family might fit the bill then please contact us. And it really is true that two kittens are twice as much fun and much less trouble than one!
