Ol’Yella may not have perfect eyesight but he knows what he’s looking for – a home of his own!
When he was tiny, before he was rescued and taken into foster, Ol’Yella contracted a virus infection which damaged his eyes. Prompt treatment when he arrived saved his remaining sight and although he will never have 20/20 vision Ol’Yella is able to lead a normal life and is an active, happy and friendly kitten. He was born in July and has remained in foster care longer than usual as another kitten arriving with ringworm meant he and his two siblings also had to be treated over several weeks to make absolutely certain they were clear of any infection. With a clean bill of health from the vet, Ol’Yella is now ready to join a family where his reduced vision will not mean he is any less loved or appreciated.
And in case you are wondering about his name, Ol’Yella the kitten is a very similar colour to the canine hero in the Fifties Disney film – quite striking blended shades of ginger! He is chipped and first vaccinated and his flea and worming treatments are up to date. He is in foster in Toulouse but we can help him travel to the right home elsewhere in France.
