The fabulous Phoebe, kittens safely raised, is looking for a home

When poor PHOEBE, just a year old – so hardly more than a kitten herself, was dumped at the refuge in a box with her four tiny kittens she was totally traumatised. No-one knew if this was because she was a feral cat or simply terrified by the situation.  A kind LesAmis volunteer took them into foster and Phoebe raised her four little ones in a spare bathroom.

It quickly became clear that PHOEBE was not at all feral, simply scared and bewildered by having been so cruelly abandoned.

Phoebe’s kittens are now weaned and no longer need her so like any young cat she is beginning to enjoy the play and interaction that she missed through becoming pregnant so early.  She was a very conscientious mum but now hopefully she will be able to relax with a human family of her own.  Everyone who has met PHOEBE has found her affectionate, communicative and a lovely cat to have around and we are determined to do our best to see that she finds a home rather than being returned to the refuge.

She is about to be sterilised, chipped and vaccinated and once she has recovered from the surgery she will be looking for a home.

PHOEBE is still a little wary of strangers and we think she would be happier in a quiet family, without small children who she could find a little too much.

PHOEBE is currently in the Toulouse area but we are happy to help her travel to join her new family elsewhere in France.  If you can offer this lovely cat the fresh start she deserves then please contact us.
