Once he can be chipped and vaccinated, we believe his breed type is likely to come out as Ariègeois. We have had so many of this gentle, loving breed through our hands over the years.
Happy HECTOR is a gorgeous 1 year old hound who was found abandoned in a park by firefighters severely dehydrated with a large deep necrotic and infected wound on his back which had previously been stitched which had not held the wound clean. Despite efforts from the vets, no one came forward to claim him and no other vets in the area confirmed that had previously cared for him.
Now safely in foster care with a wonderful couple along with other dogs and cats, HECTOR is getting the treatment he needs for his wound, which is starting to show early signs of healing – though it may be a long road.
In a short space of time, it’s clear that he is a gentle affectionate soul with a sense of positive curiosity and a kind, fun streak to his personality.

HECTOR is inquisitive and checks out every nook and cranny, high or low with his tail wagging all the time. He also loves to move small household items around, not to chew but just for the sake of moving them! He also wants to be everybody’s friend. He really is a delightful dog with not a bad bone is his body.
He eats well, travels well in the car and is beginning to sleep through the night. He will continue to have his wound dressed every 2-3 days over the next month but this is not bothering him and he is being very brave at the vets with his bandage changes, so much so that he wags his tail when he sees everyone at the vet and they, in turn are really happy to see him and see the progress he is making.
To keep his wound clean and safe he has a number of snazzy outfits to wear which he accepts totally and with very good grace. Some he even likes to model for photos!
