Following the death of his master, IRON has been brought into emergency foster with Les Amis. His LOF pedigree shows that he is from a line of Tervueren Belgian Shepherds who have done well in the show ring and he was obviously a much loved pet, if somewhat over-indulged by his former master.  He is blessed with a superb coat and an elegant head.

Of the four Belgian Shepherd breeds, the Tervueren is perhaps the gentlest and most sensitive, needing a calm and  active environment.  IRON certainly mirrors these traits in large part, though probably because he has been used to getting his own way in the past, he has a tendency to bark or throw a (totally non-aggressive) ” tantrum ” when facing unfamiliar ‘rules’ or experiences, such as not being allowed to follow his foster dad everywhere. His fosterer describes him as occasionally ‘giddy and mischievous, rather like a puppy’.

IRON cannot stay long term in his current foster home, so we are now looking to move him into a new foster or potential adoptive home where he can receive the ongoing training and reassurance that he so desperately needs and he will make a perfect companion.

Iron is currently in foster in Dept 65 (Hautes Pyrénées) but he can travel much further afield to the right home.
