Meet KIWI who is also known by his fosterer as SPARROW !  He is the gentlest, easiest dog  to have around.  He seems to be bombproof!  And his bright eyes belie his age.

By way of example he was our representative foster dog at our Winter Fête.  This mean he was in the midst of people all day, approached and patted by children and adults alike; passed by a whole array of other dogs; and taken out and looked after during the course of the day by a whole host of people he had never seen before in his life!

So from this experience and confirmed by his fosterer we can safely say that he is very biddable, kind and gentle, very quiet,  listens, walks well on a lead, gets on well with dogs, children and adults alike.  (Plus he does not react to cats).

It is clear that KIWI has been very well loved in the past but sadly was found in a terrible state coat-wise because his owner had not been able to attend to him for some time because of her deteriorating health.  Immediately prior to coming to us the person caring for him had him thoroughly shaven – his coat is now returning little by little.

We cannot speak highly enough of this wee soul,  and for anyone looking for a senior in their life, he has absolutely everything going for him.   He could happily live alongside other dogs though he is disinclined to bother with them – they just “rub along”; or he could be an only dog receiving lots of love and attention.

KIWI is currently in foster in Department 32 (Gers).  Finding the right home for him is more important than location.
