Please meet LEROY – a little one-year-old labrit who is just a joy to have!

LEROY’s background is something of a mystery (nothing new there!) and we can find no reason whatsoever why he should have been dumped which appears to have been the case – other than perhaps death of the owner.

After spending a long time on PetAlert and efforts made to find the owner with no joy, we stepped in to help his finder and take him under our wing.  Living with other dogs and two cats he has proven to be no problem whatsoever!  He’s a well-balanced little chap (weighing in around 10 kg) and thoroughly enjoys his on-lead and off-lead walks with his mates in the surrounding countryside and woodlands.  He manages a 4 hour ramble with ease!   Despite our not knowing his name, he has learned to respond very well to his given name of LEROY and has a great recall.

He is now clean in the home,  and has learned to refrain from counter surfing.  He is left quite happily with the other dogs when necessary and showed himself to be an absolute charmer with the vets!  He arrived with a cord around his neck and was frightened to get in a car which could lead us to suspect he was dumped.  Now he hops in very happily knowing that a fun adventure is at the end of the journey.  \

LEROY’s wish-list would comprise:

  • A place to call my own
  • A family to call my own
  • Some dog friends
  • Chances to do long walks
  • Fun times / fun games, especially muddy puddles

LEROY will very soon be ready for adoption, so if you think you would like this little chap in your life and could flfil all his wishes, please click on the link on this page to complete our online application form.  Or, if you are already known to us, drop us a line at enquiries@lesamisdesanimaux.com.

LEROY is currently in foster in Department 65 (Hautes Pyrénées) – but the right home is more important that location.
