There is no doubt that MARLEY is classified as a “giant” breed type. Although there is no mention on his paperwork, he looks clearly like he is a mastiff X of some sort. He has a good muzzle, and so is not of the drooly variety.

MARLEY needs a family home that adores big dogs. He is pretty typical of the breed type in that he is totally loyal to his human, obedient and gentle, but will guard his family with his life if he has to.

MARLEY needs gentle exercise – he is very very happy on the lead – built for duration rather than speed. In the garden environment he loves to play with toys – enjoying carrying a toy or a ball around for hours on end. He is not a destructive dog so can be reliably left alone for a short while. In addition he also enjoys the car and will take every opportunity he can to travel with you.

He spent many months in the refuge environment, having been rescued because his early life was spent in an apartment on a balcony!   Not surprisingly therefore, MARLEY reacts to other dogs near his pen or garden at close quarters, and yet once outside on the lead, he is calm and ignores any other dogs he meets. So the question of him dragging you like Mary Poppins in order to say “hello” to another dog does not arise.

He has a good repertoire of basic commands but is still learning and would benefit from continuing his education.

MARLEY has just tons of love to give to a forever family. If you think you could be that family, please get in touch.

MARLEY is currently fostered in Department 31 (Haute Garonne) but is available for adoption anywhere in France or beyond, subject to a successful home check. If you would like to know more about MARLEY, have the opportunity to meet him either virtually or in reality, you can:
