PAULINHA UPDATE  – 14 NOVEMBER 2022 – RECOVERY FOSTER HOME FOUND!  UPDATES AS SHE HEALS.

She is recovering well from her surgery – her immediate post-op fosterers have done their job and now she is ready for a new home where her needs can be dealt with.  She needs presence – this is essential because she herself feels perfectly well and could run and play all day . . . . her state of healing says otherwise.  But she can manage a gradual and managed slight increase in exercise, as well as needing someone who is available to keep her occupied in the times where she is not allowed to “play”.  She has been given light tranquilisers to help with this as it’s very difficult to explain to her where she’s at with her post-op care!!!  Even for an intelligent PMD!

Therefore she is in URGENT NEED of a GOOD RECOVERY FOSTER HOME.

HER STORY:

Left at a vets to be euthanised because her needed orthopaedic operation was just too costly for the owners.  The wonderful refuge in Tarbes with which we work closely has picked her up and needs us to help post-operatively with her care.  It will be a two-month period of limited exercise – not precisely complete crate rest  – but definitely no running, twisting or turning.  Just gentle lead walking.

She is due to be operated 12 October 2022 because she is in excruciating pain.

Paulinha is used to apartment living – yes even a Patou!!  She is used to young children.  She is extremely calm and gentle, totally clean in her box in the refuge – waits until someone can give her a walk !!!  which is quite remarkable.

We so want to help this girlie – can you help us to help her?

Please get in touch urgently on info@lesamisdesanimaux.com if you can help.  Full support and guidance will be offered.
