PEPSY – A stunning looking dog who is now ready for adoption and looking for that right forever home.

Several weeks down the line since PEPSY first went into foster and we now have a very very different picture of this fabulous boy.  Gaining in confidence by the day, he plays beautifully with both resident and visiting dogs, absolutely adores his food, his walks and being with his foster mum as well as his friends.  Such a difference from the shaking, quivering wreck he was when we first took him under our wing.

So we feel the time is right to say he is ready for adoption!  His experience of the wider world will continue to be expanded but he has all that is needed to be ready to go to the right loving home for him.

PEPSY is still somewhat camera shy, so photos are not of the best and therefore unusually we have included a wee video to show his joyful approach to life!

Now that his confidence has grown so magnificently, his training has been underway to channel his “collie-ness” – his desire to learn, to do, be active, have a job . . . .  This little quote from his fosterer perhaps reflects his state of play the best:

He was terrified of water in the river when we took them out for the day, but I took off my shoes and went in too. It took a while, but he eventually came in with me and you could almost see a lightbulb moment of ” oh it didn’t kill me and its nice and cool”. We went for lunch on a covered terraced little restaurant with all dogs wet from the river and asleep at our feet.”

Now that he is in good health, vaccinated, sterilised  etc, he is ready for adoption to the right collie-loving home.  Great on the lead, good recall off the lead, has all the basic commands at his paw-tips.  Travelling still not his favourite occupation – he just suffers travel sickness – but he soon perks up upon arrival!  He is still only around 18 months old, and so has much more to offer and this will come as he settles into his new home.
