Here’s some more details about her – the little that we know:

This girlie came from a travellers’ camp and was very thin.  It is clear from her physical state that even at her young age she has already been a Mum, who knows, perhaps a couple of times.  It is time for that to stop.

She went into temporary foster via the refuge with which we work – very short-term – and that time is coming to an end.   In the foster home she has proven herself to be a good girlie – OK dogs and cats.  She is pretty good on a lead and thoroughly enjoyed herself the other day when the family went for a day out to the Lac de Payolle.  And surprise surprise – she loves swimming!  It’s the labrador in her.

PHIBIE has entropion in her right eye – this means that the eyelashes grow inwards and rub constantly on the eye causing it to run.  This is evident in her photos.  It is a straightforward operation to correct it, but obviously she needs to be in a clean and warm loving environment and sadly her foster family have run out of time to help her through this recovery period which would also hopefully include her sterilisation.  Of course the costs of this operation would be covered by LesAmis – hence the request for a foster home.

If you think you could offer PHIBIE this opportunity of a foster home – we are not asking for anything more at this time though obviously a future permanent home would be a bonus, please either complete the application form via the link on this page or, if you are already known to us, drop us a message on enquiries@lesamisdesanimaux.com.

PHIBIE is currently in Department 65 but that does not matter – the right foster home with access to a vet capable of undertaking the correction of the entropion will be most welcome and we’ll do what we can to get her there.
