HELP NEEDED for Buddy

In October, Vulcaine (now Buddy) was one of two dogs taken from their humans in an emaciated state after suffering severe neglect and cruelty.

Happily, both were fostered and recently adopted.

However, on Sunday, Buddy, a beautiful year old English Setter, went missing while on a walk in the woods, despite knowing the area well. He was found 48 hours later, weak and dehydrated, at the bottom of a cliff, with his spine broken at the sacrum.

He received emergency care, and was then moved to a specialist vet for surgery the next day. The operation went well but Buddy and his human now face a month of strict crate rest with Buddy having to be being carried outside to do his business. His right leg is weaker than his left but hopefully Buddy will recover strength there over time.

Buddy was able to go home.

As you can imagine it was a very delicate surgery and, even with association rates, the costs will be between 1500 and 2000 euros.

Only two weeks ago, we asked for your help with Vanda’s surgery. Vanda is a young puppy who was abandoned with her siblings on the side of the road. She needed surgery for an untreated broken humerus. Her surgery, and follow up costs, also cost 2000 euros.

We desperately need your help to cover the not-insignificant costs of helping these two beautiful dogs.
