We are a self-funding and self-administrating association – 100% volunteered. Without raising funds, we cannot do our work. Without good systems we become inefficient.

Become a Fosterer
Our association depends exclusively on animals in our care being in foster homes just as soon as we can get them there. However fosterers are not “one size fits all” and we are extremely careful in endeavouring to match the needs of the animal concerned with those of the fosterer who is available.
There are many ways you can do this for both dogs and cats. Find out more about fostering dogs, and fostering cats.
We pride ourselves on the support we give and the flexibility we can offer.
If you prefer the back-room :
Our work doesn’t stop with animal care.
We rely on volunteers for:
- Admin and coordination
- Database management
- Accounts and compliance
- Translation and bilingual communication

Join the Covoiturage Team
(Car pooling to transport animals) – we have to move animals around, sometimes from foster to foster, from vet to foster, from foster to adopter. We are not strictly limited to distance for our work – our animals go where we currently have the best care options – so the A10, A20, A64/61 corridors are commonly used. This is occasional requests depending on need. We keep willing volunteers’ names on a list and contact direct when we have a need.

Share your professional skills

- If you are a trainer, a behaviourist, a groomer and are prepared to share your skills with us .
- If you have a pension/pet sitting business and could occasionally help with an animal in need and for whom we have no foster home immediately available
Because we rely exclusively on foster homes we do not have these services “on site” and so location is not so important to us.

Auctions
Every week, fantastic quality items are auctioned that range from gold, silver and costume jewellery, household items, and clothes up to artwork and dog and cat items. All are great bargains and provide the opportunity to get beautiful things and help very needy animals.

Fundraising
Year on year as we deal with more and more dogs and cats in need, so our vet bills rise. This is the source of most of our outgoings, but there are other costs too which also add to the need to fund-raise pretty consistently throughout the year.
Whether you give time or money, you are ensuring we can continue to support those that need our extra care.

Buying a gift voucher from us is a great way to let friends and family know that you are thinking of them, without agonising over your choice, or worrying that your money will be spent on a gift that will be forgotten at the back of a drawer. Legacies and in-memory
When you leave a legacy to us you help ensure that we can continue to be here for the dogs and cats who needs us.
It allows us to care for them for as long as it takes to find them the homes that is their true match. A gift in your will, or an in-memory fundraiser helps us to ensure their future.
