Leigh adopted Hunter, a beautiful girl that struggles with anxiety and has had medication in the past to try and help too. Recently, Leigh had an amazing breakthrough and she could put Hunter on the lead and walk around the garden. It’s taken years of kindness and patience to get to this point with this,otherwise, happy, gorgeous, gentle and smart girl.
Duke was adopted by Caz and it truly was a match made in heaven. Duke is handsome, funny and very vocal as in a ‘not shy to ask for what he wants’, kind of way. Despite being a large dog, he’s quite a sensitive lad but, gets by with more than his fair share of TLC and cuddles. His priorities are sleep, food and hugs, in that order.
Sid was adopted by Faria, he’s also settled in really well to his new home. He loves nothing more than charging around off the lead with his neighborhood friends but, Faria has to keep a close eye on him as he will literally eat anything/everything he can get his paws on! He will direct his mum to the treats cupboard and he howls to be rewarded with treats he believes he richly deserves. It‘s very clear that the way to Sids heart is through his tummy.
Next we have Quince who was adopted by Phili. He’s settled in nicely to his new home and has a 4 legged friend/accomplice called Rio, that was adopted from Greece. He most definitely loves his PiC (Pawtner in Crime)! He has had a poorly foot in the past that required surgery and medications. Quince was keen to get on with life and managed to chew through 2 bandages, even whilst wearing the cone of shame, naughty ratbag!
The Lady of the group is Princesse and she has been adopted by Wendy. As with all the other pups, she is very vocal and loves to remind her mum where the treat cupboard is. She’s not a massive ‘Morning dog’ but, is happy to go on her walkies or her weekly day care for socialisation. Princesse just loves everyone out on her walks and she stands perfectly still to allow babies and toddlers to stroke her. Isn’t it funny that they have a sixth sense to be gentle around children. Don’t be fooled though because, when she‘s out with her friend Loupi, she lets loose and runs around like a mad March hare, just loving life.
The last, but by no means least, of this group of beauties is the gorgeous Splodge, he is just as much of a character as the rest of them. Master Splodge has certainly made his mark on his new family, he loves his routine of where he spends his time during the day, look out anyone if they’re in one of his favorite spots! He loves everyone he meets on his walkies and is more than happy to be made a fuss of.
All the owners have stayed in touch and celebrate Birthdays and milestones together, they regularly catch up on the progress of the dogs and how they’re getting on. They also are very helpful and supportive to each other when they need advice, it’s just wonderful, another Les Amis family! We even have a recording Quince impersonating a didgeridoo, it really is hilarious!
