MOUNETTE – lucky to survive

Mounette was surrendered to a vet following a serious attack by a dog.  Her injuries included extensive damage to a front leg and it took surgery followed by many weeks of care in the vet hospital to overcome infection and repair the damage.  Such treatment is of course expensive and Mounette’s bill will be over 1000 euros. The most important thing is that thanks to prompt and skilled treatment Mounette is fully recovered and enjoying cuddles with her fosterer and playtime with the other cats.  Chipped, sterilised, fully vaccinated and testing negative for FIV/FeLV, Mounette is now looking for her forever home. She will be fine with older children and other cats but after her traumatic experience any introductions to even cat-friendly dogs will need patience and care. She is a delightful little cat and has come through her convalescence well: she is enjoying all the things she loved before – climbing, chasing, and chilling out on a friendly lap.

Mounette is currently in foster in 65 (Hautes Pyrénées) but we can help her travel to a new home elsewhere in France. If you can give this lovely young cat a fresh start then please contact us.  And if you can’t offer Mounette a home, then a contribution towards the cost of getting her back to full health would be much appreciated.
