URGENT APPEAL
There are two seniors waiting at the refuge with which we work that currently do not have a welcoming sofa to go to. Can you help?
Firstly we have MACCS – who has been abandoned at the grand age of 13 – and he weighs in at just 14 kg. He’s a Brittany spaniel – so probably not a “dosser” – but will adore human contact. He’s lost his owner, and his home and is a little discombobulated by it all.
Next is LILI – who has suffered neglect for some long time but with an owner who refused to relinquish her. Now at 15 here she is in a refuge environment, in a terrible state, both with her skin and lack of exercise. Her owner died as the result of an overdose so it is likely that Lili’s life has been chaotic for some time. She needs a quiet place to lay her head, get lots of TLC and probably vet care covered, of course, via our lifetime fostering service that is part of Support Our Seniors.
If you have space in your heart or, more importantly, on your sofa, to offer one of these oldies the chance of a good life in their remaining years, then please get in touch. You can complete the application form or if you are already known to us, drop us a line at enquiries@lesamisdesanimaux.com. Remember, there is no adoption fee for a lifetime foster, and all vets fees, other than annual vaccinations, and parasitical medication, are covered by Les Amis des Animaux.
