‘Hello I’m Noah, I’m a lifetime foster (LF) living with my new family; Belle who is another doggie LF, and George and Harry who were abandoned as kittens and adopted by our mum. If you think an elderly, deaf, and almost blind Westie terrier might be devoid of personality, you’d be very wrong. I’m a feisty wee fellow, and very determined. Our cats are very special, they will run in front of me if I’m about to walk into something, or fall off a step that I can’t see. We all go for walks together around the pretty French village where I live. George the tuxedo cat, steals to order, and his sharp teeth can chew through a treat packet or the big sack of biscuits that mum buys for us. He’s very useful, we like him a lot.
They say I’m very old but, because I was found wandering, nobody has any idea how old I am and I can’t remember. I’d been on my own for sometime when somebody took me in. My fur was very long and matted. Now I have a regular appointment with my hairdresser which is just as well as mum isn’t much good at cutting my fringe.
As I’m a lifetime foster, my mum can get help with unexpected vet bills, but I’m a healthy little fellow and I don’t cost much. Sometimes I go with my sister Belle when she goes to see her eye doctor, and they give me a quick checkup. I do have eye drops every day but my cataracts are not operable. I don’t mind, I can manage very well as long as nobody moves the furniture, I don’t like change.
I highly recommend the Lifetime Foster scheme, it means old dogs like me get lots of love, a comfy home, good food and a place on the sofa, which is much better than spending my days in a refuge. Maybe there’s a space on your sofa for an old fellow like me?’
