This gorgeous elderly cat found herself homeless at the ripe old age of 24, when she was left at the SPA in Tarbes. We put an appeal out on our website and were contacted by Christine and Bill. They have offered her a wonderful retirement home under our Lifetime Fosterer scheme. They have named her Princess Kimmy, very fitting we think for this very hardy, regal, gentle girl.
She is happy and settling in a treat. She is a little slim, so it’s no surprise that she’s eating like a horse, which is great to see! She’s clean and tidy in the house and found the litter tray no problem at all. Kimmy has been to the vets for a check up and considering her age, is in fairly good health. Her bloods came back with a result that showed she had an infection. This was caused by a mass on her neck, which she has had removed and a course of antibiotics cleared up the infection and all is now ok. She is also a little hard of hearing but this doesn’t bother her at all. She is making firm friends within her new little four legged family, as the resident furries have made her feel very welcome, great to hear. Kimmy does feel the cold on evenings when it’s a bit cooler, so she sleeps with a hot water bottle underneath her blankets. She’s such a lucky lady and we’re sure she realised very quickly that she is exactly where she needs to be. We love hearing about her getting spoilt!
