The gorgeous little Schweppes, formerly Hatchi has been with the Les Amis family for around 3 years. He was found wandering the streets in a bad state. From day one, little Schweppes has been such a joy to care for, he didn’t mind a bath and nail clip, always a good sign of a nice temperament. Although not sure of his age, it was clear he was over 10, so this means he would be part of our Life Time Fosterer programme. We never did find an owner, so the mission was on to find this sweet little chap his forever home.
It didn’t take long before Schweppes was offered a new home, where he would be loved and cared for by Nikki. In December of 2022, this is what Nikki had to say about him, ‘This little boy is just perfect. He is totally clean, is eating well, walking well on lead, sleeping very well, and is cuddling up a lot. I am so happy with him.’ He is very well known in Nikki’s village and whilst out and about on his walkies, he greets everyone with kisses and just loves everyone, as much as they love him!
As you can see from one of the photos, he has the most amazing front ‘teefs’, Nikki took him to her local vet and he recommended they were removed, but he assured her they wouldn’t spoil his dashing good looks! The vet was able to take one out but due to his jaw being so fragile, they left one in. Nikki called this his ‘Magic Tooth’! A little girl from their village asked about the tooth and was told that if she wanted to make a wish, then touch the tooth and you never know, it may just come true….
We think Schweppes is now around 15 years old, so he is slowing down a little and maybe might not hear and see everything as he used to. He still looks forward for their daily walkies around the village, saying hello to anyone that is happy to have cuddles.
